At the heart of Pinch is providing a light and relaxed creative space for all to engage with shaping and making things out of clay. The sky, or kiln size, is the limit! The studio itself is located in one of the old barns in Brownings Farm, TN22 5HG, East Sussex. Parking is plentiful on site and The Cow Shed Tea Rooms are located next door. You will start by learning how to centre a ball of clay, then how to throw this to make small a cylinder and we slowly start to see how your shapes might be used. Cups and pots are typical shapes that students come out with but it’s also quite experimental so we’re not too hard on ourselves.
